Description
WWII Sperry A-2A Ball Turret As used in the B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator bombers over Europe and the Pacific during the fight against the Axis powers in the Second World War.
This is a complete, fully restored and fully functioning turret. It has been converted from the original 28V hydraulic system to run entirely on a 24V battery housed within the ammo can.
Fitted with replica (non-firing) AN-M2 Browning machine guns. These can be swapped for the real thing if desired.
These turrets are becoming extremely rare — fewer than five known examples worldwide remain in working condition. This restoration took years to complete, but the owner is now ready to move on to another project.
